His Holiness Gurumauli's birth is as per Bhagwan Krishna's words Dharmasansthapnaarthay Sambhawami Yuge Yuge...that whenever there is decay on earth, I take birth to reinstate the values and virtues of righteousness (dharma).
Before coming to stay in Panchvati, Shree Ram had come to Dindori, situated to the north-east of Nashik and performed the shraddh ritual of His father King Dashrath on the banks of the Godavari here.
Shreepad Shree Vallabh, Shree Nrisinh Saraswati and Shree Swami Samarth had all lived on the banks of the Godavari here.
Sage Gautam brought river Ganga here in the form of Godavari.
Shree Hanuman was born in the vicinity of Nashik...
Just 60 km from here is the seat of Goddess Saptashringi at Wani.
Sage Parashara had His hermitage at Dindori.
Sages Kardam and Angiras had done rigorous meditation in and around Dindori.
Dindori is the maternal place of Mata Anasuya, the mother of Bhagwan Shree Dattatreya.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj defeated the Mughals at Dindori when he was returning from Surat after winning it over...
It was in such a sacred place of Dindori that His Holiness Gurumauli was born as Sriram Khanderao More on March 20, 1955 on the day of Papmochani Ekadashi, Falgun Krishna Paksha 1877. Worshipping Lord Vishnu (that is Swami Maharaj) on this day cleanses you of all vices and takes you ahead onto the spiritual path.
It is even more interesting to realise Sadguru Moredada. In 1918, Shree Appaji More was married to Saubhagwati Chandrabhaga. The couple were blessed with their first child-a daughter.Later, when Chandrabhagatai prayed to their Kuldevata, Shree Khandoba of Ratangad, Dindori, for a son, they were blessed with Moredada on May 21, 1924.
Devotees shall note that Swami Maharaj entered Akkalkot (Mah) by first visiting a Khandoba temple. After leaving that body, Swami began His divine work through Moredada and now His Holiness Gurumauli....
